Islamic Dua Before Entering Toilet

(Bismil-lah) Allâhumma innee aAAoothu bika minal-khubthi wal-khaba-ith
‘(In the name of Allâh). O Allâh, I take refuge with you from all evil and evil-doers.’

One goes to the toilet to remove waste and dirt from one’s body and cleanse oneself. Goodness is always associated with purity, freshness, and smelling clean, whereas evil is always associated with negative expressions and connotations. The toilet is the place where we separate the good things and leave things with negative connotations. Moreover, it was the evil Shaitân who incited Adam and Hawwa (Eve), peace be upon them, to eat the forbidden fruit, and thus their private parts became apparent (and the digestive system became functional) and they were sent down to Earth. Hence, we should remember that and seek Allâh refuge from the Shaitân.
